Fix sideways or upside-down pages and save the PDF so they stay that way. Click a page to turn it 90°, or rotate them all at once. Free, no watermark, and your file never leaves your browser.
No PDF yet. You can also drop a file on this box.
Every PDF page has a rotation setting (0°, 90°, 180° or 270°). This tool uses pdf-lib to change that setting for the pages you pick and save a new file. Nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed: text stays selectable, links and fonts are kept, and the file size barely changes. Previews are drawn with pdf.js. Pages you have changed get a blue outline and show their new angle.
Rotation problems usually come from scans. If your PDFs come from web pages or HTML templates, render them the right way up from the start. The Shotmint API renders PDFs straight from a URL or raw HTML in Chromium, with A4/Letter sizes, margins and backgrounds:
curl "https://shotmint.creasework.com/v1/pdf?url=https://example.com&format=A4" -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_KEY" -o page.pdf
Each render is 1 credit. €5 buys 2,000 with no subscription, and credits never expire. Try it without a key on URL to PDF and HTML to PDF.
Does the rotation stay when I open the file elsewhere? Yes. The new angle is saved in the PDF itself, so Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, phones and printers all show the pages turned.
Can I rotate only one page? Yes. Click that page's preview. Each click turns it 90° clockwise, and the ⟲ button under it turns it back.
Is my PDF uploaded? No. Everything runs in JavaScript on this page, so your documents stay on your device.
Why does it say password-protected? Encrypted PDFs can't be changed without the password. Save a copy without the password in your PDF viewer, then try again.
