Change the size of JPG, PNG and WebP images: type a width and height in pixels, or scale by a percentage. Keep the aspect ratio, crop to fill an exact size, or add padding. Resize many images at once and download them as a ZIP. Free, no watermark, and your files never leave your browser.
No images yet. You can also drop files on this box.
Leave width or height empty to keep the aspect ratio automatically.
Changes apply to every image instantly.
Keep aspect ratio makes the image as large as possible inside your width and height without distorting it, so one side may come out smaller than you typed. Crop to fill gives exactly the size you asked for and trims the edges that do not fit, centered; use it for profile pictures, thumbnails and social media posts. Pad also gives the exact size but keeps the whole image, adding bars in the background color. Stretch forces the size and distorts the image if the shape differs.

Pick one from the Preset menu above: it fills in the size and switches to Crop to fill. Platforms change their recommendations from time to time, so check theirs if an upload is rejected.
Each image is decoded by your browser and redrawn on a canvas at the new size. When shrinking a lot, it halves the image in steps first, which keeps it sharp instead of jagged. Nothing is uploaded, so it works for private photos and documents, and even offline once the page has loaded. Phone photos are rotated the right way up, and EXIF metadata (camera, GPS location) is removed. Enlarging works too, but it cannot add detail that is not there, so big upscales look soft.
Need a smaller file rather than smaller dimensions? Use the image compressor (target size like 100 KB). To change the format only, use the image converter.
Resizing website screenshots by hand? The Shotmint API renders any URL or HTML in Chromium at the viewport you ask for, so the image comes out at the right size directly, at 2× for retina if you like:
curl "https://shotmint.creasework.com/v1/screenshot?url=https://example.com&width=1200&height=630&format=jpeg" -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_KEY" -o preview.jpg
Each screenshot is 1 credit. €5 buys 2,000 with no subscription, and credits never expire.

Are my images uploaded? No. Resizing runs in JavaScript on this page.
How do I resize without losing quality? Pick PNG output for lossless results, or JPG/WebP at Maximum or High quality. Shrinking always removes pixels, but a downscaled image looks sharp at its new size.
How do I make a square image? Type the same width and height (for example 1080 and 1080) and pick Crop to fill, or Pad if nothing may be cut off.
Is there a limit? No file count limit and no watermark. Output sides are capped at 16,384 pixels, and very large images depend on your device's memory. Animated GIF and WebP files are resized as their first frame.
